Yichen Xu

Yichen Xu, aged 9, he is a Grade 4 student at the Affiliated Primary School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He began studying the cello in 2021 with teachers Weixi Luo. In 2023, he was admitted to the Affiliated Primary School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has achieved good results in various domestic and international competitions, including winning the first prize in the junior group of the VIVALDI International Music Competition in 2022 season 3, the gold prize in the junior group of the 2022 European Autumn Music Competition, and the first prize in the children's group B of the 2023 Shanghai International Music Festival Stringed Instrument Competition.
