Yiru Liu

Liu Yiru, a light lyric soprano, was born in China. In 2019, she went to Florence, Italy, to study Italian and take vocal courses. In 2021, she was admitted to the Venice Conservatory of Music, where she studied opera singing in a two-year academic program. In 2022, as the soprano of the Baroque Ensemble of the B. Marcello Conservatory of Music in Venice, she participated in the "Helena Tulve – Visiones" project produced by the Venice Biennale and performed at St. Mark's Basilica. In the same year, she won first prize in the 3rd Anatoly Lyadov Online Instrumental and Vocal Performance Competition in St. Petersburg. In 2023, she performed at the Malibran Theatre in Venice in the "Bach Haus" project produced by Michele dall’Ongaro, playing the lead role of Liesgen in Johann Sebastian Bach's "Coffee Cantata" (BWV 211). From 2023 to 2025, she joined the Vocal Department of the Chopin University of Music for artistic practice. In 2026, she was admitted to the doctoral seminar program at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.
