Yuchen Lin
Yuchen Lin, born in 1999 in Fujian, China. Lin began studying piano with his father at the age of five. He later continued his early musical training with Professor Yizhe Hong at the College of Music of Fujian Normal University.
In 2017, Lin was admitted to the Piano Performance program at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, placing first in the entrance examination. There, he studied with professor Qin Han. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he maintained an outstanding academic record, received multiple scholarships, and graduated in 2021.
In 2022, Lin received a partial scholarship to pursue a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance at Northern Illinois University, where he studied with Professor William Goldenberg. During his graduate studies, he served as a teaching assistant and collaborative pianist, accompanying vocal and instrumental studios, coaching students in chamber music, and supporting choral rehearsals and performances.
In 2024, Lin began pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at Florida State University under the guidance of Professor Stijn De Cock. His musical interests encompass solo performance, collaborative piano, chamber music, and the exploration of expressive and stylistic possibilities across a wide range of repertoire.
