YuYang Ding

YuYang is a 16 year old student in New Zealand. Beginning with the piano from a young age, YuYang found an interest in improvisation and eventually led to him writing them down as his first compositions. He has written music for various ensembles across his school as well as finding success both nationally and overseas, notably being the winner of the 2023 NZCT chamber composition contest and the KAWAI award of the 2024 APPC Composition Prizes. Currently, YuYang maintains a wide interests in various musical fields and is keen to continue his contribution to the music world as a composer.
