Zhuoyuan Li
Zhuoyuan Li was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, on 4th of July 2006. He is a music composer, orchestrator from mainland China, and an incoming composition student at New England Conservatory Music.
From an early age, he showed a deep interest and talent in music, starting to learn classical piano at the age of four. In 2018, he went to Sydney, Australia, to continue his academic and musical education. At the age of twelve, he began systematic training in classical guitar; a year later, he ventured into the field of music production, exploring the processes of music creation and production. At fifteen, he began to learn viola performance and participated as a violist in rehearsals and performances of local string and symphony orchestras in Sydney.
During his high school years, Zhuoyuan Li was active in the Chinese commercial music scene, providing professional composition and arrangement services to various artists and musicians. He also participated in composing music for several radio dramas, such as “Bu Tian Gang” and “Lie Huo Jiao Chou” among others.
Moreover, he collaborated with several renowned symphony and string orchestras, and his works were recorded by orchestras such as the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, the International Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Starliner String Orchestra; his pieces were performed live by orchestras including the Sydney Excelsia Chamber Orchestra.
