Zsolt Burai
My name is Zsolt Burai. I was born on the 26th of August 2004 in Kecskemét, Hungary. From 2019 I’m studying in Debrecen at the Zoltán Kodály Secondary Music school in the violin and composition class. I’m interested in classical music since I was very young. When I was 5 I started to play the violin and the piano in a self-taught way. Later, when I was 6, my parents enrolled me into the János Palotásy music school of Jászberény to learn violin. Some years later I started to learn piano as well at the same place. My first violin teacher was Andrásné Bernhardt, and after in Debrecen dr. Tamás Ittzés (violinist, composer, conductor, university associate professor) became my violin teacher. I’m learning composition from Dániel Dobos, who won the Béla Bartók World Competition in 2019. In my freetime I usually compose, play the piano, or read about the lives of composers. With my friend, Péter Szilágyi, (who learn in the organ and composition class) we learn chamber music from Máté Nagy who is a conductor and music history teacher in our school. When we have time we play four-handed piano pieces together, for example Mozart symphonies, Debussy and Ravel orchestral pieces, and analyze masterpieces in order to understand what the composer wanted to express with the music. My goal is to become a musician who knows all areas of music well, not just his own instrument.
