CD Album
Cd Album: LISHORT (2022) 1. FANTASIA IN A MAJOR. Α lyric, romantic “fantasy”, a kind welcoming of “extrovert” emotions into any novelty. 2. CANCION DEL MAR. “if the sea happened to be a blockbuster film star, I would wish that her waves meet gently the coast of this very song” 3. TANGO MEDITERRANEO. A “free Nuevo tango” composition, with “violent outbursts”, descriptive (in brief) of Meditteranean temperament’s nature, aromas and romantic side. 4. SONATA LISHORT. Intro I.Genesis Intermezzo II. Anous Dance Intermezzo III. Variety con calma IV. Free Running Intermezzo finale The “four seasons” of human existence and nature. 5. BEAUTIFUL STORIES OF ANOTHER DAY. Imaginary recollections, colours, pictures, solitude. The composition urges emotions to invoke their future. 6. ROCKATA XVI. The title is the “auditory fruit” of the “matrimony” of the terms “rock” and “toccata”, that the composer himself thought of. The composition encloses a carefree, yet intense and autonomous, polyphonic melody, with polyrhythme being her key characteristic. 7. UNA TARDE CON UNA ESPANOLA. The composition “affectionatively perches a threshold” between free composition and improvisation, emboded in a colourful, figurative melody, which evolves steadily into arranged Spanish traditional themes. 8. LA NUIT DE NEL. An authentically inquisitive, fondly composed, nocturnal, whose inspiration thrives in the sunlight. All works composed and performed by Michalis Sourvinos.
